To increase
the outreach of the OAS with counterpart institutions through
programmatic exchanges and meetings among heads of institutions
and other officials
Ø
To increase
OAS presence at the annual meetings of major institutions (U.N,
IDB, WB, ECLAC) and the EURO-LAC and Ibero-American Summit in
order to promote knowledge of OAS work and open opportunities
for collaboration
Ø
To
coordinate the work on institutional relations more effectively
with the Summit of the Americas process and meetings of the
Joint Summit Working Group
Ø
To
coordinate and promote institutional relations between OAS
Secretariats and entities and outside institutions
Ø
To promote
exchanges of views on relevant topics of the Inter-American
agenda with the leadership of partner development and political
institutions
Ø
To gather
information on new developments, programs and initiatives in
relevant partner institutions and disseminate within the OAS
Ø
To gather
intelligence on international efforts towards institutional
reform and modernization and greater institutional effectiveness
